Rock n Roll Guy
Well, a sure sign of warmer weather is that “Rock and Roll Guy” is back on the streets in full effect. I know that there has been talk about certain Village residents feeling uncomfortable with him around, but personally, I’d only be worried if I found out that he wasn’t actually listening to music.

I thought the point was to make people uncomfortable. And what a fine way to do it - by singing in public. He makes me smile everytime I see him - a free spirit in SW.

This kid is perfectly harmless. If you haven’t noticed he is totally in his own little world, not out to be malicious to you while you partake it.
Anyone’s fear of him demonstrates foolishness. Some kid rocking out while occasionally walking his dog seems far less harmless than persons who speed down capital (cell phone in one hand, starbucks cup in other), or stumble out onto the street after a length of time at a watering hole (of which there are a majority).
Hell, at least the kid is walking and not driving.

Observer - shaking up people’s perceptions a bit isn’t the same as being malicious.
You do have a point though about his intentions. Is he totally oblivious as you say or is he just freely expressing himself, knowing it will make some people uncomfortable and not caring?
And yes, he seems harmless. If he were walking on SE Hawthorne, the responses would be smiles (or apathy), not fear.

I see the “road rocker” all the time. As stated in the other comments, who knows what drives him to this sort of expression, but I see it as perfectly harmless. Maybe we should all be a little more free and not worry so much about what other people think.
